For episode six of our suite dreams series we bring you The Penthouse Suite, from the hotel where everyone leaves their heart, The Fairmont San Francisco.
Spanning the entire eighth floor of the historic The Fairmont San Francisco, The Penthouse offers luxury and space yet with a home away from home feel. The facilities include, three large bedrooms, a living room with grand piano, a formal dining room with seating for 60 (space for the holidays will never be a problem again), a kitchen and what every child (and most adults) dreams of, a secret passageway concealed behind bookshelves.
Like many of the hotels in the Fairmont Family, The Fairmont San Francisco has hosted a myriad of well know faces, President John F. Kennedy, HRH Prince Charles, King Hussein of Jordan and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands have all called the opulent Penthouse home. Even rock stars head to The Penthouse - Mick Jagger, Elton John, Tony Bennett and Nat King Cole have all tickled the ivories of the grand piano.
If rest and relaxation is in store, then The Penthouse has its own games room with a billiards table – the perfect way to unwind – or head out to the balcony for a sneaky cocktail to take in the views.
